Don't be fooled by the slow start, it become awesome if you have some patient. and the way the story told, the girl point of view, is really unique in the genre. nice!

I was reluctant to see this because of _superpowers_ but did anyway... While I'm very aware of it's positive reception I don't really share that sentiment. It starts out somewhat OK but certainly works around it's budget in quite early on. Where it probably went really wrong for me is the reception of the little main girl as she struck me as an ungrateful little brat and had that annoying stare all the time. As the story went along it felt like TV tier clichés thrown together [spoiler]the ice cream truck was esp. cringe[/spoiler] and it jumped all over the place from her being the key for [spoiler]liberation of the "Freaks"[/spoiler] to [spoiler]just saving mommy[/spoiler]. Thank god she is a Mary Sue so all works out fine and [spoiler]got daddy killed to get her mommy instead[/spoiler]...

Awesome movie, Do you have a similar film suggestion?

Worth a watch. Movie of two halves and a girl character that can divide an audience.
First half is a mystery. The second half reveals a superhero movie. I usually stay clear of superhero movies, but this was presented in an interesting way. The girl character did annoy me a little as her morals were all over the place. Her mommy issue blindsided her rationality, and that made me dislike the girl at times. I couldn't really shake that dislike off but I still enjoyed the movie for what it was.

It was an okay movie for a boring evening, but it definitely wasn't great and memorable. Wouldn't put my name under the recommendation.

THe first 30 minutes had me wondering why. But after a slow build up, this turned into something quite different and much more impressive. Quite a surprise.

Not what I expected at all, and that's a good thing. A slow burner at the start but it builds up into something that offers a fresh take on a worn genre.

Slow start and confusing & mind blowing at first but the more you watch the better, darker & abnormal it gets and it makes more sense.

I really enjoyed that film, it was different and loved the idea of it all even if it messed with my mind but yeah super and also great performance from the little girl.

Good lil scifi flick if you're bored

This was surprisingly good. It needs more advertising or word of mouth. I thought the Chloe actress did a great job for a little kid. She was also the daughter on the TV show Shooter.

I was surprised by how much I liked this. I went in blind and I think that's the best way. I liked how the story slowly unfolds and ends well.

Beginning was a bit of a bore tbh but good lord was the build up worth it, if u stick around past the first 20mins which you definitely should you will not be disappointed as it really pays off its honestly a must watch if you dont mind the build up.

What a pleasant surprise. I had not head a lot about it, but it is a fun, intense, enjoyable ride.

Another fun movie in a sea of blech. I really enjoyed this. It has a fun pace. It keeps the secrets secret until the right time while still keeping you guessing. The storyline itself isn’t particularly new, but the approach is. And for that, I appreciate it. It could definitely be the beginning of something wonderful. Thanks, again, Canada. I salute you.
