On Movieee-tic:

Me: I like South Korean genre films with lots of action.

Illang The Wolf Brigade: I like long, convoluted political discussions that interfere with any action.

If compared to its original animated counterpart, its story is significantly less symbolic and emotionally evocative. However, if judged in its own right, I believe that it's a good film. Even the end, although modified in such a way that the story doesn't quite possess the impact that the original version does, represents a starkly and pleasantly different conclusion to the story – one that, when observed subsequent to the original version, demonstrates the value of even slight caution when choosing when to enact violence to achieve a goal.

That, or like most American adaptations’ screening audiences, Korean audiences couldn't cope with such a depressing film, so they decided “fuck it. john wick”

Watch the anime, the original work, Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade (https://trakt.tv/movies/jin-roh-the-wolf-brigade-1999). It's better.

My goodness!

It started good, but from the middle to the end the plot starts to fall apart with confusion and crap storytelling, what a powerful armor, isn't it? Meh, made me sleep sometimes.

It's always good to watch something else than English-speaking movies, and this one is no exception to that!
