Kickboxer: Vengeance

Possibly the worst action movie ever made.

With kickboxer movies, you pretty much know what you are going to get. A build up to a grudge match, mild love interest, lots of training montages set to music, all leading up to a climactic ending fight with a couple of phases and crowd chants, plus some way of upping the ante over the previous movie. Really, for most people watching, i expect it could all just be compressed into the 30 minutes of fight scenes This doesn't have the originality, naff charm and style of the original (now really old) movie, even if it does have JCvD. The US challengers are over the years have been completely forgettable characters and acting, and this one was no different. The end credits reminded me of the worst part of the original movie - why would they do that? But every movie since the original has missed the magic of the original Tong Po JCvD combination. I will continue to watch the Kickboxer sequels, and continue to miss the magic that Qissi bought to the role Strictly for obsessive enthusiasts
