It attempts to walk a line between comedy and horror but never quite reaches either. The threat the Oath poses is never well defined enough for us to understand what the big fuss is about on either side.

Is it a comedy? A horror movie? A political statement? Who knows, as it never really works in any category. It's not awful - there were times when I was gripped by the events on the screen - but it's still a muddled movie that needed a little more effort to make it gel as a whole.
