Ben Campbell is a young, highly intelligent, student at M.I.T. who strives to succeed. Wanting a scholarship to transfer to Harvard School of Medicine to become a doctor, Ben learns that he cannot afford the $300,000 tuition as he comes from a poor, working-class background. But one evening, Ben is introduced by his unorthodox math professor to a small but secretive club. Students Jill, Choi, Kianna, and Fisher, who are being trained by Professor Rosa in to count cards at blackjack.

1.9 points -> Cinematography (0-3) 1.2 points -> Acting and Characters (0-2) 2.0 points -> Plot (0-3) 0.7 points -> Score (0-1) 0.7 -> enjoyed the movie. (0-1) Aka. 6.5 points --- Subtle. It's a movie for 7. It's not fantastic, it's not entirely original, but it's interesting. Worth seeing.

This movie holds a special place in my heart. The vibes, the soundtrack, the plot. It all really works for me in a way that clearly doesn't work for the public. We have gotten more gambling movies since this one, but this remains my favorite. Rating: 4.5/5 - 9/10 - Highly Recommend

_21_ is a good movie that tells the true story of a group of MIT students who develop a card counting system to win big in Las Vegas. The film boasts strong performances and a compelling storyline, but it falls short of its potential to be even better. The pacing can be slow at times, and some characters feel underdeveloped. However, the movie is still entertaining and engaging, and it's sure to appeal to fans of heist films and gambling thrillers.

I actually quite like this film which is a surprise. I chose to go into this film with no prior knowledge apart from the basic synopsis and I found it to be funn at parts, and well filmedm I took 2 stars off my rating because of how overwhelmingly boring and expected the romance was but for a film released in 2008 it did really well with it's execution.
