Disturbing film based on a true story. Not an easy watch but nor should it be.

Pretty good movie. Very intense story based in real life events.

I liked the movie, however, he made ​​me sad, because every scene I knew that somewhere in the world the same and even worse was happening to other people.

I interpreted from the short synopsis, that I read, that the girl will be free after 3096 days. I think this gave me the courage to watch this film. I wished to see, how she dealt with this horrible experience. Having read the accounts of kidnapped children, I think, that the movie realistically depicts the way children respond to their captors. The sick person, who keeps her captive is well played. I think, that this is a very sober film of one person's horrendous ordeal. I think it is respectful and realistic and tells us a valuable tale about the extent to which others can suffer. Hopefully, it will inspire compassion in us.

This is not what I would call entertainment. It is however a tiny insight into humanity. I don't know how much accurate this movie is (it's based on true events), but I am impressed by the willpower, and tenacity of the kidnapped girl. She had to be nice kidnapper to stay alive, but at the same time she had and kept that utter contempt for him burning.

this movie was incredibly exploitive, in my opinion.

often when i watch movies that are supposed to portray real-life events, i ask myself: "would the victim in this situation like this movie? would they agree with how they were portrayed? would they agree with how their abuser/aggressor was portrayed?", and i'm often left with a negative answer, unfortunately.

you could say that the same thing happened with the jeffrey dahmer series, but that's a whole other topic.

in general, i'm just really surprised that this movie was directed by a woman, since the rape scenes are so explicit. i'm honestly ashamed of this movie's portrayal of natascha and i wish i could take my hours back.

i would rate it a solid 2/10 because the actors weren't bad, but i still can't praise them for being part of such a terrible representation of her story.

btw, this is my first time commenting on a movie on this app. i just felt like i had to after being left horrified with such scenes that weren't necessary AT ALL to the plot of the movie. fuck all the people that made this.

Filme baseado em fatos reais, envolvendo sequestro e tortura é sempre muito difícil assistir. Eu fiquei bastante perplexo com a história e indignado com a brutalidade da qual a moça sofre, entretanto o filme é muito realista e merece uma nota 8.

I would say a bit demented movie
but if you liked The girl next door or American Crime, you should like and this one.

The editing and sound effect are sometimes bizarre. Movies based on true event could easily get to the straight forward district without giving any depth to it. Unfortunately this movie is one of them. Wasted opportunity.
