It's delivering what you'd expect but offers nothing beyond. Too generic to deserve any credit, but a welcome "to watch once at Christmas" candidate. But just once.

Netflix was definitely channeling the Hallmark Christmas movie...this is a good thing :-) 100% predictable and fun. An excellent Christmas movie. Let's hope they do more along these lines.

This is one of those movies that is filled with cliches. At times you know exactly what cheesy line will follow. Either way, It’s fairly enjoyable but definitely far from good. If you enjoy movies like The Princess Diaries and Monte Carlo you’ll most likely enjoy this too!

usually cliches are used for a reason: because they work. Unfortunately, this movie is an awful exception, since it doesn't have ANY KIND of character building or development and it relies on badly overused plot and plot devices to get through. The movie could get a 4 if one of the main characters, the prince, had at least as much personality as a wooden door.

Every year we look for some kind of Christmas Even semi-schlock and this year it was this movie. It fit the bill - it wasn't too Hallmarkish and it provided just enough holiday syrup. I know, it is a low bar.

The original Netflix film A Christmas Prince is a rather bland and cheesy romantic comedy. Rose Mclver stars as an aspiring reporter who gets her big break when she’s assigned to cover the Christmas coronation of an elusive playboy prince who may abdicate the throne, and to get the scoop she goes undercover as a tutor for his younger sister. Mclver gives a serviceable performance, but she doesn’t have a lot to work with; as the writing is poor and her co-stars don’t bringing anything. And the plot pretty much telegraphs where it’s going from the very start, leaving no mystery or suspense. A Christmas Prince has a bit of charm to it, but it’s poorly executed and has no passion.

As far as Christmas movie and the holiday genre goes there is a 20% of it. It is an ehm movie and absolutely predictable & cheesy.

Oddly, not on Hallmark, but a better than average of the genre. In fact, I really enjoyed this movie. Honor Kneafsey, as the young Princess Emily, particularly steals every scene she is in. I'm a softy, but I loved it. 9/10

Best part of the movie is when she quit being a "journalist" because she was literally the worst. Who sneaks into a castle, goes undercover then leaves the shutter sound on while snapping forbidden pics? Let's not forget leaving your password written down so a child can find the story you're working on and of course, not bothering to hide your passport and other personal items that prove you're a fakey liar pants. Everytime I heard her phone click with another photo I wanted to strangle the writers.

Also, the bracelet Emily gives to Amber looks like it came from K-Mart.

Please Netflix, leave this dribble for Hallmark.

Netflix out Hallmarked Hallmark and I’m 100% here for it! I watched this over Christmas, but was too lazy to leave a comment then.
