[Göteborg FF '23] A surreal comedy that, however, is impregnated with a look of bitterness about the impossibility of achieving freedom after a life imprisoned with an authoritarian mother. The trip through Iceland in which the protagonist moves his dead mother contains absurd situations, magical realism and references to Fellini through a kind of Greek chorus of costumed actors who accompany the protagonist, highlighted by circus music by the Estonian composer Tõnu Kõrvits that becomes more and more ethereal and coral. It is a film with a sense of humor as dry as the landscapes of Iceland, but at the same time equally fascinating.
