Vivian Miller (Shelby Young) is a young woman serving a 90 day probation in Cawdor where she discovers a VHS tape of footage from a crime that occurred years before.

What a boring film this was. Nothing happens in this movie of any real thrill or even importance. While the story was certainly an interesting one to me, the way it is written and portrayed was a bad one. The script is pretty awful that created so many unlikeable characters. It lacked any sort of horror and was no more than a dull drama movie.

There were quite few flashbacks of Vivian past, which indicate towards how she ended up here, but it never goes any further than that. As viewers we can easily work out she was abused, and she kills her abuser which is why she is where she is. Considering the movie tries to show how much this past trauma is affecting her, there was no meaning at all in them because we never actually find out who she killed. You are left trying to find reason to care for here which leaves watching it uninteresting. Also there was this other character called Roddy who was so predictable it was awful.

The cast as a whole were not too bad. Shelby Young is the best part of this film. While nothing spectacular, she tried her best. All the male characters were terrible and offered nothing. The woman performed slightly better.

While certainly an interesting premise, this is a painfully slow and boring film and offers no haunting moments that the title may offer. 2/10.
