A troubled couple and their teenage daughter go on vacation to an isolated house to reconnect as a family. But when suspiciously friendly neighbors show up uninvited, the weekend soon takes a sinister turn as dark secrets test the family's fragile bond. This is a new film from the director of _Don't Tell A Soul_ which is a film I pretty much enjoyed. This film definitely has an interesting concept and I really appreciate it tries to do something new with this home invasion genre but sadly the execution is so messy and ultimately feels very lackluster and empty. It starts off great with a promising start but once the truth comes out, it descends into a big mess. It seems like the focus in the film is giving twists than anything else. Also, it tries to mix supernatural elements into it and that just comes across as silly. The cast did a great job with not-so-great material they're given to work with but I can't stand the villain in this film. I feel like every villain in home invasion films always try too hard.

Stupid boring and pointless, I want my time back.

it's well acted but i have to say, no one in the movie is likable. except the cat, toby. i love voids.

The movie made like a highschool movie.I like the actors tho but the kid gosh hated it so much . The story could been better with more slow burn. So many random/weird moments tho [spoiler] Where he hired this kid to kill her? So you the devil or whatever why playing the kid " be my wife" "i'm a moral compass " Sir that is a kid and you atleast 200y old.. Moral compass pffff. Why terrorise the family when you only had issue with the husband. ALso there are repeated sentences multiple times for no reason.Viewers are not stupid lol. The husband gosh played excellently tho hated him from the start haha. The deputy really could say that from the beginning when they visited her.Also what terrible things she did to get the comment of "you got lucky and second chance"of what? she only been blind enough to believe a cheater over and over I guessing that what she meant.[/spoiler]

This isn't horror or a thriller, it's boring and stupid.

Something different to the average horror film. Builds up nicely with a couple of visitors to the house, unaware of their intentions. It also has you on edge throughout. wondering if there is a supernatural element or not. A must watch.

Hmm so I get it: Bad things happen to bad people, and they get punished. Isn't that original?
I'm not even sure what the point of the story was, but I'm pretty sure whoever wrote this really really really hates whoever cheated on them. Next time instead of making a movie, maybe seek some therapy instead of putting everyone else through this. (Achting was good though) :(

So bad in every way. One positive is there is some funny scenes because of it. This is a really, really, stupid film.

What a compelling mess. Without a doubt, the movie is held up by the excellent performances all around. Angela Sarafya's scorned wife is heart-wrenching, but Jacob Lofland steals every scene he's in. On this merit, and this alone, it is worth a watch. Beyond the surprise factor, the story is shallow and mostly unsatisfying. With a bit more daring and spice, it could have been a real stellar piece of work.
