It didn't start well. Actually, at the start of the movie I was worried. It seemed very cliched and usual and everything about it seemed flat and boring. It probably didn't help that Dean Cain was playing the role of the Big Bad business man instead of the guy with a heart of gold. He's infinitely better at playing the latter. But then, the writers seemed to find their voice somewhere, and they took the cardboard cut outs they'd started with: batchy mom boss with no time for kids, misunderstood young woman who becomes the boss' nanny by accident, frowny business man, 'cute' guy, and the writers infused a bit of human into them. They popped into much more 3D characters.

And ad-woman has failed landing a chocolate Ad account, Danny Donner's Chocolate (played by Dean Cain), and gets fired. Her friend gets her an interview with a top ad agency (the horrible mom/boss' agency), but winds up as the nanny. It's mushy lifetime goodness (and some badness) from there.

As I said it was a mostly solid movie with a few bumps at the beginning. It's plot wasn't surprising in any way, but the actors were very good, and even the two kids were funny and adorable. The writing and cinematography wasn't bad either.
