This time better

Second movie was not so good. This movies is good but not like first one.

This time Freedy seems appearing only in dreams but he came to save his bones in real and at first of the movies, he tried to kill after she woke up as i remember, other than those, freddy was all in dreams just like first movie. And in the hospital, wrote joey's body "come and get me".

So nancy came back. As an intern. We all thought she was dead. Wow. It was nice to see her. She was a hero. Saved some of the kids. Maybe they will save other kids in future. Also her father died probably. I could not see there. And his father, he was alcoholic. Probably trying to forget everything.

We saw Old, huge computers. 30 years before. It is a different time.

Also it was good to see Laurence Fishburne. So young.

Kristen seemed so familiar and at last i remembered. From tv series, medium. Same voice that relaxing and cool and same looking. She looks same :)

So lots of kids in hospital. The lucky ones who freddy could not kill. But yet. Because they said in somewhere, lots of kids committed suicides. It means freddy killed but not the ones in hospital. Which had some powers in dreams.

Jennifer was not sleeping for example, i dont think so. He killed while awake with dark humor. Put into TV. So again he can come to real life ias we see.

There was an interesting topic also. Child abusement. But child abusement is not fault of child. Freddy tried to kill joey.

Now, we learned about his mother. How bad people did bad things to his mother and maybe he was revenging this. If he knows of course the things done to his mother.

Somehow while they were together, kruger separated the kids before last fight. Fingers with needles were cool. Did she die? Then Only three left but they won at last.

He could always change his appearance to fake them but i think he does not like it.

And jesus saved by destroying the bones :) It was interesting.

In the end we waited again something absurd, to come back for example but not this time which we saw in the previous movies. There are more movies in this series so he will come back :) like candy man.

I like this movie. I hope other movies of the series are like this.

My favorite out of the entire series. Nothing like going after a bunch of teens who are locked up in a psychiatric hospital for bad nightmares. Freddy has a field day with this one. Welcome to prime time bitch!

Freddy’s Revenge is so bad that I was certain this one could not be worse than that. And Dream Warriors isn’t just better than Freddy’s Revenge, it is really good nonetheless. Surprisingly well done.

We have way more nightmare sequences, something that really highlights the franchise from any other to me is this possibility the filmmakers have of unleashing some outside of the box ideas. I’m so glad they embraced this opportunity unlike other films (yes, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2, I'm looking at you).
The nightmares are pretty creative and explore each character fears and personality.

Gore and special effects are so so good, I guess this is the slasher franchise with the best and most inventive grotesque and creepy effects. Never disappoints.

Soundtrack is pretty neat, fits so well with the movie.

The characters are interesting and have some background, we cheer for them, which is pretty hard in these movies. Nancy is back, (yay!) Heather Langenkamp really makes the difference and does a good job adding more depth and evolution to Nancy.
There’s a young Patricia Arquette in the film. I wasn’t expecting, but a great surprise, of course. Laurence Fishburne is also here, what a crazy and great cast. The rest of the supporting cast is good as well, Ken Sagoes is very funny.

It still has some rules established in the original film broken — one of my favorites by the way. When Freddy is killing someone in the dreams, the result of his insane attacks can be seen in the real world. In this one, this doesn’t happen, you may be butchered by Freddy while dreaming and as far as to the real world you just died peacefully in your sleep. This decision is purely made only to serve the plot, which bothers me a bit. By choosing this, it becomes an easy solution to make the doctors think that people are losing their minds and having suicidal tendencies.
Not only that, it was pretty cool seeing the outcome of Freddy’s murders, it gave us that classic Johnny Depp death in original film for in instance.

Even with this last flaw, it is a great movie. For me, it’s at least on the same level as the first one, perhaps even better due its creativity and the presence of more nightmares.
