**The Good:**

Director Edward af Sillén is known for his love of dancing, and hat love shows here. The dancing is the best part of this film.

**The Bad:**

This is like a cheap version of High School Musical turned into an even cheaper version of Mamma Mia. It lacks the likeable characters, the engaging plot and the catchy songs of the latter.

Despite the treasure trove of hits in Tomas Ledin's discography, most of the songs featured here fail to capture the heartfelt energy and emotion from his music. They are mostly lifeless disco bangers with little character our soul.

There are som odd editing quirks in this film, when scenes cut to the next one abruptly, leaving us wondering what happened next. The transitions to and from musical numbers are sometimes so abrupt they almost scare the shit out of me.

I'm allergic to musicals forcing in lyrics from the songs it contains as part of the dialogue. Those lines stick out like a sore thumb.

Forced humour doesn't land even when delivered well, as is the case with most of the comedy in this film.

What a waste of a huge and talented cast this movie is. Most of these actors are capable of so much more but the script simply doesn't allow them to bring their characters alive.

They could at least have tried to go for something else than the most generic musical plot ever, but that was too much to ask for.

The film doesn't engage the viewer enough to feel entertaining all the way through. It turns dull, repetitive and worn-out before reaching the end.

Seriously, no Tomas Ledin cameo? You had one job!

_Sweden’s attempt at a Mamma Mia centred around the discography of one of their most beloved artist falls flat in just about every aspect._
