Both films are fantastic but second definitely scores higher than the first with more action, better camera work and affects were so much better and definitely was more noisier than the first and loved the ending and hoping it doesn’t end there because I’d love a 3rd movie, back story on the aliens would be nice but wouldn’t mind if they still keep it quiet..

@cinemanicbonkers I know the Paramount execs vehemently disagree with me on this... But in my mind I have A Quiet Place 1 & 2, Signs, and Bird Box tied into the Cloverfield universe. Makes it that much more interesting for me on a grander scale. Although I also have an alternate theory behind Bird Box that's totally seperate from my Cloverfield dreamscape.

39 votes. 6200 plays. For a movie that doesn't even launch until next year. This is how bad data happens people! Do you want ~~ants~~ bad data? This is how you get ~~ants~~ bad data.

@gorgarp I noticed that 5 minutes after logging in and it really surprised me. They really shouldn't let those votes and plays until screeners go out, or even until the movie officially releases. Hopefully they'll fix that, I can see a movie getting completely ratio'd before it even releases.

A Quiet Place II is a cinematic hand job: not as moving as the real thing but pleasurable and satisfying, nonetheless.

Okay, worthy sequel, but it still amazes me that they discover things now and no one else has not noticed before

Amazing. It flows on nicely from the last film, but never gives too much away about the aliens, adding to their mystery and menace.
As with the first I liked the slow build up of tension. Then the multiple threats, of everyone being confronted at once in different places, as though there’s nowhere to run or hide. And the survival ideas are clever too, so you never know what’s coming next. If it spawns a third, I think there’s still new ground to cover and it would be a great trilogy.

Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later) is a fantastic addition. He is quite bad ass in this. Great movie, I am surprised pretty much the same ending worked so well again. I was on the edge of seat.

An engrossing, expansive, and incredibly well made film. It has it’s issues but for the most part it’s a very worthy sequel.

Moves at a brisk pace and with a running time that's lean, it rarely outstays its welcome and I enjoyed it even if it did feel like the middle part of a trilogy. An exciting and thrilling way to start the summer.

Well made and great tension. I have questions with some character motives, silly moments and muddled storytelling, but I enjoyed it.

Enjoyed it - especially in 4dx
which was great for the exploding heads
.
Pacing was largely good, and the expanded world worked quite well. 75/100

Effectively terrifying. I’m going to have nightmares for weeks. Again. Just like after the first film.

John Krasinski has proven to have a decent level of craftsmanship behind the camera but this movie proves that he should be kept away from screenwriting.

I’m really surprised at a lot of the positive reviews because the plotting and beats in this movie are super dumb. There is a small hint at the level are working at when we are with Krasinski on “Day 1” where we get a small peek at life before the aliens came and they make a choice to drop in an Easter egg reference to the toy spaceship that gets his child killed from the first one. It’s a seemingly innocuous little call back, foreshadow, wink, knudge, whatever, but it is a perfect example of the types of choices made in this movie. I mean not to ruin anything but essentially an alien pilots a boat in this film. Overall it just bugged me.

@jimdarko it was so bad. I’m embarrassed for him. You nailed it. Screenwriting was unforgivable.

@jimdarko Watch it again, an alien doesn’t actually drive a boat lol. It was just short scene where he moved it when he was on the front of it.<br /> It was really no big deal.

@jim222001 why I said essentially. Also pretty great that a boat can just float out to this community with an alien "essentially" driving it, meanwhile a group of rapist, underground water people surrounded by boats did not find that community.

@jimdarko I couldn't have said it better myself, I'm glad I had a free pass to see the movie because I thought it was a waste of one hour and 30 minutes. But then again I wasn't a real big fan of the first one.

@jimdarko I mean there is def worse movies out there. “Cough”tomorrow war”cough”. This first film didn’t need a sequel.<br /> <br /> The one that bugged me the most was how did they know to stay quiet during the bar scene? The aliens just attacked. And the total obvious phone ringing was so obvious.

@jimdarko "essentially an alien pilots a boat in this film. Overall it just bugged me."<br /> Hey Google, what's "Ocean Current"<br /> <br /> LMFAO dude, you just seem to want to hate this movie if you're using that obvious strawman to bash it. hahaha

@abstractlegend I guess the same scenario when someone commits a B&amp;E at your home, and you're caught sleeping upstairs with your pants down. Let's assume you don't own a firearm.... You wake up to the noise, find somewhere safe to hide, remain quiet, pull out your phone, and dial 911. Make sure to put the phone on silent after you hang up though, and again, remain silent!!

@jimdarko okay you're entitled to your opinion but you don't explain anything about the negatives of this film, only some adjectives ("dumb"). That's really a terrible way to argue.
