Beautifully shot, with a fresh level of harsh realism, but it didn't really move me like it was apparently supposed to. It's well done in pretty much every aspect, but it just kind of dragged for me.

A beautiful movie about simple lives.
Do not expect any action, any plot twist, ..., but you'll have a very subtle story about brotherhood, its closer moments and those where you can grow apart.

A truly missed opportunity of Brad Pitt playing a young (or child of) Robert Redford, was disappointed we didn't even see Robert Redford. Not a lot of plot, didn't seem to have a point, other than the main character was actually not the main character ....Brad Pitt was really the centre of this movie, as he is in all his movies....which is only right for someone born so beautiful. The relationships lacked the depth and significance they alluded to.

Continuing my quest to watch all of my future husbands movies: Brad Pitt :pound_symbol:1

This was an interesting movie, although it felt like there was a lack of plot. I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to get out of this movie. It was a strange one. Not bad but not great either

A beautifully shot film from Robert Redford that benefits from all the wilderness and nostalgia of its 1920s Montana setting. The rich relationship between the two brothers, as well as between the father and his sons, is at the heart of this film which is, in its own way, also a coming-of-age story. It's not quite as good as Legends of the Fall - to which is often compared - but definitely not to be missed. To convincingly pull off this level of sentiment is no small feat. Shout out to the scores composer for maximal heartstring tugging. I've seen it before and will certainly watch again. Highly recommend.

Not the most exciting movie, but if you’re vibing with a period piece with a very pretty, young Brad Pitt, this movie is for you. Sometimes you just want a nuanced and epic movie that has beautiful landscapes with old timey American vibes. I recc for a lazy Sunday.

A beautiful portrait of family life and family ties. Brad Pitt is magnificent in his character, as well as Tom Skerrit. It is a film about simple lives and its lack of action makes it both beautiful and forgettable. That ending was not predictable but necessary to provide closure to a plain plot.
