What an amazing movie! Finally something decent to watch on this theme!
I must admit, the first hour is a bit "what a nonsense movie, what's the point?" But then, the true message buried under the storyline reveals to us and the pieces start to compose, we start to get the message and learn from it! I must say that this particular movie got me to think and think again to, in the end, have a moment of reflection about life, about what we do, or don't do, with it! How sorry we can feel from not doing something or the regrets we may carry for the rest of our life's if we don't take the chances, if we don't dare do dream, to feel, to live, to love and to let someone love us back!

Some people will totally miss the point of this movie, of that message buried underneath but those who can see it and understand it, those are the enlightened ones, those who are already stepping out of the shadow and opening their eyes to the cold truth of life! There no second chance, there's no time to cry for the past or to feel afraid of the uncertain future, there's only the moment, this precise moment and the ones who forget to live it, shall never know what living is!

Would like to also make note for the brilliant, excellent sound track of this movie, it's just amazing and well placed! Loved this movie, really did and again, the first hour may get a bit "boring" but just wait for the rest, just wait for the whole point of this movie and then reflect about the message and in the end, I would like to leave a question to anyone who reads this review and have watched this movie: "do you have any regrets? Do you live your life as you always pictured it? Is your life worth living? Because, you know, time traveling only happens on this movie and therefore... Stop, think, reorganize, prioterize your goals and your ambitions and then... Let's start working on it shall we?"

Enjoy the movie folks ;)

What a beautiful message! And really well delivered as well. Went in expecting a love story and came out of it with a new perspective. I would say though, no one should be allowed more than a second chance in this world, third chance maximum. At least he never fucked up greatly and went back in time to fix it, he only ever fixed small harmless things, choices. Like imagine he had
slept with Charlotte that night in London and then gone back in time to undo it
that would have been sooooo shitty, but that's just an example of how, you know, this is a we could say "romanticized" or "optimistic" portrayal of time travel, in the sense that it shows it in the hands of a genuinely good guy. But yeah what I mean is, while I think I would have felt a bit cheated if i found out my husband had countless times to perfect our relationship/moments, I still think it could have been a lot worse - like the example mentioned above - and he used his abilities for good. So that would be the major flaw in the movie for me - how they portray something that's essentially cheating at life like something 100% good. But they do end up passing the message that
it's best to just live life once and not mess with it anyways
so it's all good. Very beautiful movie!

This one surprised me positively. I suspected a meager story with some lousy science background, but it turned out to be a story with more depth than I ever suspected.

The characters are very well written, and even some of the smaller side characters (the best friend, uncle D or Rupert) are very interesting and worked out to a detail you don't often see with such characters. Oh, and they are very well translated to the screen by their respective actors too!
I think the performance of Harry Hadden-Paton as Rupert was award worthy, and I enjoyed Bill Nighy a lot too of course, since he is awesome! :P
There is probably not enough material for a series, but I'd wish for some more screentime and background on some of the roles. Especially the sister Kit Kat intrigued me bigtime.

It is a very sentimental movie, but I couldn't really call it a love story. The relation between Mary and Tim was not the main theme of this movie for me. It felt more like the main character was trying to obtain something, but discovered something more important along the way.
By this it holds a philosophic message, but it does not confind that message in a closed subjective or life lesson. It rather sets you up to think about certain aspects of life, and makes you aware of the possibilities and choices you can make. Only to leave the choice to you in the end.

**My wife was literally tearing up just from me telling her about this movie. It was that good!**

A Delightful, sweet, and optimistic film with an uplifting focus on cherishing time with people we love and valuing family. It’s rare to find a movie that depicts a healthy, caring relationship between family members, so I enjoyed seeing support rather than drama. Expanding the focus of love beyond the main couple to their friends and family is not typical of a romantic comedy but welcomed and appreciated. A great escape film that reminds you what matters most are the people closest to you.

Cute and fun, with great cast and performances and nice English humor.

Just, it is too good, too neat ... but a good movie for getting out of the theater with optimism and faith in life.
