I dislike courtroom movies in general, but this one was largely pretty fun because Tracy and Hepburn have amazing chemistry. It's clear why they made so many movies together--it's just a delight to watch them together. Everything else is a little forgettable, and it hasn't aged well in many parts (although of course I can imagine how it must have been received at the time.)

First Katherine Hepburn movie I see. I started because I read she was one of the few actresses in the 40s - 50s that didn't impersonated dumb bombshells characters, but headstrong, spirited and outspoken ones, and I must say I'm impressed by the character that she portraited, and that said character was written at all. In a post ww2 time were most women were back in the house and wife scenery, this movie challenge the imposed dynamic, speaks about the inequity of genders and address the injustice upon the "fair sex" in the daily life of the 50s.

An original, fun, and innocent romantic comedy.

Oh, I hope you’ve watched more Hepburn. Like Desk Set or The Lion in Winter!
