Heya! Kiba Snowpaw here, the lone alpha ice wolf from the frosty world of HowlStrom. I've prowled through the blizzards, endured the toughest of times, and yes, survived a bullet or two. But when I'm not out there flexing my ice magic, I'm curled up in my den with a good ol' action flick. Today, let me tell ya about a classic - "Air Force One" from 1997. No fancy words, just straight-up wolf talk. Let’s dive in!
Basic Plot Summary

So, this movie is about the President of the United States, played by Harrison Ford, who's a total tough guy. He’s returning home on Air Force One, the president's super cool plane, when bam! Terrorists hijack the plane. They’re led by this ruthless dude, Ivan Korshunov, played by Gary Oldman. What they didn’t know is they messed with the wrong president. This movie is all about Ford kicking tail and taking names to save his family and country.
Analysis/Evaluation

Now, I’ve seen my fair share of action, but this movie? It’s like a wild hunt in the snow – thrilling, unpredictable, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The tension is like a tightrope walk over a frozen lake. It’s got politics, but not the boring kind – the kind where it’s life or death. And the action? It’s like a fierce blizzard, fast and furious.
Characters

Harrison Ford as President Marshall? Absolute alpha move. He's brave, smart, and doesn’t back down. Oldman as the bad guy? Chilling like a HowlStrom winter night. Every character feels real, like they could be part of your pack or your rival.
Structure

The movie’s pace is like a relentless snowstorm. It starts with a bit of calm, then wham – you’re in the thick of it. The story builds up tension like a howling wind, and then it hits you with action scenes that are as explosive as ice magic in a fire.
Impact

"Air Force One" isn’t just a movie; it’s an experience. It shows you don’t need superpowers to be a hero. Sometimes, courage and wit are all you need. It's like a reminder that even in the darkest blizzards, you can find a way to light up the sky.
Hook and Thesis

The real hook of this movie is its simplicity. Good guys, bad guys, and a fight for survival. It’s like a classic tale from the HowlStrom legends, but set in the sky.
Praise and Critique

I gotta praise the acting and the action sequences. But, if I gotta pick a bone, it’s that some parts are a bit too Hollywood, you know? A bit too perfect. But hey, we’re here for the ride, aren’t we?
Evaluation

If you’re into action, suspense, and a bit of patriotic flair, this movie’s a must-watch. It’s like a roaring fire on a cold HowlStrom night – comforting, exciting, and makes you feel alive.
Comparison

Think "Die Hard", but in the sky. It’s got that same lone-hero-against-the-odds vibe. If you dug that, you’ll love this.
Conclusion

"Air Force One" is a classic. It’s got heart, action, and a message about standing up for what’s right. So, if you’re ever feeling like the lone wolf in a big, cold world, pop this in for a reminder of what one wolf can do against a pack of trouble.

So, that's the scoop from Kiba Snowpaw. Stay frosty, and remember – even a lone wolf can change the course of the storm. Over and out! :wolf::sparkles::cloud_with_snow:

I thought that this action movie was a fully written (i mean, it didn't end with
main villain dies
).
Main character was the president
which was very cool to see someone
with high power
being the main action hero in a serious action movie.

Movie reminds me of Non-Stop yet at least still as good as that movie i think. I also liked the political situation from this movie. It wasn't always black and white
and the characters in the white house were also not just being dumb i think.
The antagonist was actually good with it's reasons and beliefs. Also
the speech from the main character
in the beginning of the movie was very good as well!

I thought also the movie had
a cool method transporting people from plane to plane.
Props.

The not good: Maybe one action scenario a bit less believable i think
is the gasoline situation (not sure how it caught fire, Maybe the high winds?).
Also
the mole character was not much done than being the mole.
Although what done with it wasn't bad. But there could be done more i think.

Overall, solid action movie i think. Might have overrated this movie for myself but i can't deny: This is one of the better action movies I've watched so far.

Air Force One

Tl;dr While it has many so-bad-it's-good moments, overall it's tedious, mediocre, and too up its own rectum to watch to make fun of.

Despite the other glowingly mediocre reviews, I assure you this is not a decent watch as an action film. What it does at times is work as self-parody. The action is ridiculous in a purely surface and particularly incompetent way, and I found myself laughing over the entire sequence of taking over the plane, starting with the typical pipsqueak fake suppressor sounds that don't alert anyone 5 meters away, but especially the flying bodies as Gary Oldman's terrorists mowed down security personnel with abandon, high powered rifle bullets that would be punching through fuselage be damned. When it's not gleefully stupid, the violence is intense, the effect being uncomfortable but banal and pointless.

Nothing here can be taken seriously, excepting Harrison Ford's rapport with his wife and daughter. That part actually worked, and at 53 minutes into the movie, the wife and daughter (isn't that the girl from _A Little Princess_?) are the best actors and only realistically believable characters. Yeah, Glenn Close is "fine", but I was also laughing at the "serious and intense" call with Oldman's spastically over-acted fake Russian.

But the real nail in the coffin, aside from not having the wonderful cast of _Executive Decision_, is that Ford is just a limp sock as some type of guerilla-fighting, loafer-wearing politician. His expressions were amusing as Indiana Jones, but here he just looks tired and confused the whole time. When it's not sad (which is most of the time) it's funny. Speaking of funny, the film forgot to have a sense of humor or charm, instead doubling down on the ridiculous flag-waving self-seriousness. In between bouts of unintentional hilarity, it tends to get tedious, and seeing as I value my enjoyment when watching schlock, I found myself skipping through some pointless and over-long scenes of the sort. Not once was this the case with _Executive Decision_.

It’s a quite nice action flick. Some people on Rotten Tomatoes and other sites have been moaning that it was too much American patriotism. Well, that’s a load of bullshit! Sure it was very American but given the name and the cast, what the hell did these morons expect? If one cannot enjoy a good American action movie because of some patriotism in it, well then do not watch them! Incidentally there are some countries in Europe, no names mentioned cough cough, that could do with some more patriotism in the first place. Anyway, for us it was two enjoyable hours and hey, it's Harrison Ford after all! It is a decent enough transfer to Blu-ray although the choice of sound codecs is a bit unusual in that it has a Linear PCM 5.1 English track on it.

This is all about Harrison Ford and his ability to almost single-handedly carry over 2 hours of cinema. The plot is ridiculous - Air Force One is hijacked by a group of highly trained terrorists led by Gary Oldman, who quite easily commandeer the plane and hold the President hostage - except, that is, that he too is an extremely highly trained man who dupes them into thinking he has been ejected in a life pod. Soon we have a cunning Mexican stand-off at 35,000 feet with just about everyone else being a casualty. Thank heavens for the sanity of VP Glenn Close holding things together on the ground while our airborne adversaries battle it out. It's probably fair to say that the CGI has been at the drink, too - it is all over the place at times. All told, it's an OK action movie, just don't think too hard whilst you watch it.
