Corny as hell but a timeless classic all the same. Some great wooden acting going on here too. Airplane! really didn't have to try that hard to spoof this already cheesy movie.

I had only seen Airport 77 (the underwater one) and 79 (Concorde) before watching this, but I have seen the parody ‘Airplane’ at least two dozen times. I knew it was a spoof to the Airport series but it really is much closer to this one. The nuns, the sick girl with the guitar, the movie star... they’re all here. The movie is okay. Interesting how times have changed not only in terms of flying but how people talk to each other. Especially the pilots with the flight attendants.

Charlton Heston is good at movies where he has to be a hero like in this catastrophe

A fun follow-up. It's probably my favorite of the series, with the most likeable cast for me. It's not a thrill-ride, but it's very entertaining and tense in certain areas.

Realism is never the forte of disaster movies, so there's no need to pick on. It is with some disbelief, however, the carefree life of passengers on board, comparing them to today's strict regulations. ;>
