Needed more scenes between Alex and Elliot. Elliot was so charming!

this is not a good movie. it definietely feels like something that was written by straight people

I loved everything about this movie. Two thumbs up!

It was very good and I enjoyed it, but disappointed by the ending. I understand that homosexual men is still a very under represented in media. I can’t complain about the plot because these are our stories, our truth, but I wished for a bisexual ending or even a pansexual ending, it could have been really wild and been a asexual ending. But nope, plain gay. It was better then a lot of gay movies in recent years, with the exception of Moonlight and Love, Simon which were masterpieces, but I just wanted better.

I cannot unsee that Madeline resembles Gal Gadot a LOT in this movie, with that hairstyles.

it started out ok. it got a little cheesy, tried to hard to be funny at times. unneccessary transphobia and bully scene towards the end. the actual ending was predictable and like i felt it tried too hard to make me feel something. really stretching out that kiss just plain looked awkward too. also no ofends but eliot was ugly! if you're gonna realise you're gay at least go for a halfway decent looking guy

An adorable little movie. I genuinely liked it.

I don't know how i feel about this movie... Tbh Alex was a total jerk at some moments.
[spoiler]I wished the story would have been about him discovering his bisexuality instead. Some parts seems to hint at that but then no? I think there's some inconsistance in the story-line about that[/spoiler]
I totally wonder if this was written by someone straight because that whole thing about "why don't just come out? my cousin of 16 has come out" and other lines from that type are just... so straight. They really seems to think lgbt people not coming out is a matter of will...
But generally it's a cute movie as long as you can handle the awkwardness of the main character

Also the guy playing Elliot plays in The Gay and Wondrous life of Caleb Gallo, a queer serie on youtube that i totally recommend!

Charming movie but felt the ending was a little rushed. Would of loved to have seen the characters a little more developed and more of Elliot. But it's still a fun little movie that I thoroughly enjoyed.

though some of the acting was a bit awkward at times, on the whole, this movie was really cute (albeit predictable). i do wish that we could've seen more of alex's past- [spoiler]all we could really discern from the short flashback is that he was bullied as a kid for being gay, and that maybe he was adopted? or perhaps that was a summer camp.[/spoiler] who knows. i would like to know. which is why i'm complaining. anyway, sweet movie! lovable characters! gay! would watch again if i want to both laugh and cry within an hour and a half. you really _can_ have it all (oh, and the moonlight poster hanging in elliot's room was a nice touch. well done set designers)
