Another case of misleading trailer, this is absolutely not a thriller. The trailer made it look a lot more eventful, it's actually a veeeery slow-paced drama. It's not bad, the message is very important, but it's just very flat.

Anna Kendrick chopping that wood log was the most eventful thing that happened.

Love the message the film stands for, it has some good performances and it's anxiety inducing in some scenes. It feels meatless for some reason, could of used more work on the script and some spice. Why was this under thriller, i'll never know.

This felt a lot like one of those TBS (or other random cable channel) "men can't be trusted" films, but done with a decent cast, nuance, and a serious eye. It does get a little frustrating at times to watch our characters' actions (and inactions) play out, but I think it helps the story feel more true and less trite. That being said, some may find this a tad too slow to stay engaged with.

I've suffered exactly this kind of abuse and even I was bored. Tired of seeing AK in dramatic movies, she absolutely does not have the chops to pull off a role like this. This was a whole lot of nothing and criminally underused the beautiful and talented Wunmi Mosaku.

Abuse comes in verbal form and beats you down. slowly but surely erodes your confidence and undermines your self worth. This movie shows just how it can effect a person and how hard it can be to remove yourself from the influence of the one who proclaims to love you.

A very good film. I almost never watch trailers because I find them misleading or overstuffed 95% of the time, so I went in with little expectation and let the film take me wherever it was going.

I found it a touching and emotional portrayal of the power of social support when you're going through a difficult and disorienting time. There are moments in the film that don't land perfectly, but on the whole I am very glad I watched this film.

A simmering unease that bubbles over, this isn't an easy watch but it does have some very powerful moments. Very good acting by all involved. Kendrick really gave her all to this. I feel that it did have some lengthy drops in quality, but would still recommend a viewing. 6.0.

Terrible, the fact that the message in important as everyone is saying, doesn’t mean every movie about it has to be accepted as good, this is a terrible movie, to add more offense, the trailer is misleading, and this is not a thriller AT ALL, why is it categorized as such? You get more out of just the trailer than the whole movie.

It's absolutely not a Thriller, rather a psychological drama.
For some this story might be completely beyond comprehension.
But this really exists..[spoiler]controlling narcissism, ranging from mild to completely manipulative forms as portrait here.

Anna Kendrick plays this very convincing.

In the beginning you wonder what exactly is going on..
But soon dots are connected and you see what this can do to a person.

Not a light film, but if you've haven't seen the trailer and watch this with an open mind like I did.. it's intriguing and has a good short run time to tell the story well.

A truthful portrayal of a woman suffering inside a toxic relationship. For me, there wasn't enough narrative to make it worth watching again. I'd only recommend to those who don't understand the dynamics at play and need an education.
