Alien from the Darkness

Come for the blend of Sci-Fi and Horror, stay for the: - strangely translated names (a woman called Keith, another 'woman'(?) called Flair Mytomeyer) - cool alien designs (in hindsight, with this many tentacles and an all-female cast, why did I not suspect sooner this was Hentai?) - liberal homages to both Alien [spoiler] (_that_ dinner table scene, a stand-in for Jonesy, the ending etc) [/spoiler] and Aliens (especially the pulse rifles) and other classic Sci-Fi - a character that is strangely similar to Misato Katsuragi cons: - the version I watched was shorter than the alleged runtime which explained the sudden cuts and strangely mismatched audio at times, which can be jarring. (which is understandable as I did not realise it was Hentai edited to be SFW) - a really irritating ferret(?) that screams a lot and resides in someone's bra - it could have been twice as long and been more well-rounded and fleshed-out (although discovering the version I watched was heavily altered Hentai explains why they didn't care _so_ much for the _plot_, as well as the short length)
