Very predictable standard zombie movie. Nothing stand ups or suprise the viewer.
The production value is still good and the pacing is ok but i know i'll foget it soon.

Asians make some decent horrors and this infected film was good and a lot of entertaining action.

Nothing special. Expected some extreme scenes and a kind of different ending. Time killer...

A bit too slow-paced at times for a zombie flick, but the plot was unexpected and thoroughly entertaining.

Sure, its another zombie movie, but with its mix of action and soulful concepts, this stands out from the infected masses.

I liked it. Fresh take on the genre, liked the characters and the way they reacted to the situation. I know it’s nothing original or who knows what masterpiece, but I truly enjoyed it.

So glad that Netflix has started providing dubbed over movies. I tend to multitask when watching movies and having to read subtitles makes that near impossible. I actually enjoyed this movie, of course, our family is really into zombie movies so no surprise there! I thought the main actor and actress did a really good job too!

#Alive is intriguing and unusual
It's worth seeing, as I read it was a commercial success when it was released in June, during the middle of the pandemic in South Korea, a fact that Netflix has taken advantage of to extend it to the rest of the countries.

Good points are Yoo Ah-in's performance in the role of Oh Joon-woo and his survival quarantine mode. It makes you think that you would be able to survive in an apocalyptic world.

The bad part that I see in the movie is that I don't detail where or how the virus came from that turns everyone into a Zombie.

Otherwise it's worth taking a look.

Going into zombie movies with little to no expectations always results in more enjoyment from the viewing. The acting was good (imo), the characters were believable and likeable, and I actually wanted them to survive, which isn't always the case with some movies main characters. The ending could have dropped like three different parts that felt unneeded, but still not bad enough to warrant a score drop. A solid 7/10 if you like zombie movies.

3 Thoughts After Watching ‘:pound_symbol:Alive’:

1. I thought it was great! It’s not an easy feat to create something fresh in this tired genre — and they succeeded here. Well paced. Well acted. A perfect blend of humor and horror. Thrilling from start to finish.

2. Faster zombies are always scarier zombies.

3. Another highlight for me was the music. Loved the song choices throughout the film.

Bonus Thought: Watching something like this always inspires me to be stocked up on bottled water and canned goods.

I wish I enjoyed this movie more as I think it had a lot of potential but it sort of fell flat for me, especially the story. I desired substance that wasn't really there. A shame for sure. The infected were very well done so I give them props for that. The acting wasn't half bad either.

Entreteniment for a lazy zombie movie fan. I liked the start, if was only like Cloverfield Lane 10 this could be a little better.

I wouldn't exactly say this is a new Asian horror favorite; but I still feel this is a pretty decent horror movie. I mean, I wouldn't put it up in the same category as "Train To Bussan," but the movie held it's own. I should let you guys know it DOES drag a little bit. However, the exciting moments are spread throughout the movie. There's quite, then scary moment, then quite, the scare the shit out of you moment, then quite, then action. LOL. I only had two issues with this movie. I think they dragged it longer than it needed to be; and I think the directors made the blond lead actor too dopey. For a guy who's into high tech, I expected him to be a little smarter. One of the very few Asian movies I've watched with subtitles.

For those who are not aware, the Korean movie "#ALIVE" is based on the 2019 script by Matt Naylor. This same 2019 script was also made into an American movie entitled "Alone".

For more information:
