I thought I was once again conflicted with this film like I was with _Son of Godzilla_. But, I believe that this is just straight-up the worst movie in the series to date, and one of the worst movies I've seen.

I could understand what they were trying to go for with the whole dream fantasy thing. But I wasn't invested enough in this kid to care. This movie is a big fake-out. The Godzilla fights in here are not actually happening and that would be fine, if not for a few things. First, most of the fights are footage from previous movies; _Son of Godzilla, Ebirah_, and _Destroy All Monsters_. There is a new monster here, but it's the worst designed by far. Second, it doesn't pay off.

Here we see, I assume, is going to be the peak of the kid-friendly shift this series took. Because I don't know how it could get any more dumbed down and horrendous than this.

The morals here can be defended sure, but this all falls apart by the end when the main kid is just an ass.
-Movie is about a kid being bullied and standing up to the bullies.
-Kid stands up to the main bully and refuses to join his "crew".
-He then fights and beats up the bully. Showing that yes, violence is the only option instead of walking away.
-Kid then pranks a random guy painting like the bullies told him to do in the beginning to prove himself to them. Instantly making him as bad.
-During the chase away from said painter, the kid joins up with the bullies crew and escapes. An instant hypocritical move.
-Movie ends.

This film has the most backward character development I've seen in a while. I very much despise this movie, if you can even call it a movie as it only goes for about an hour. I urge you all to not watch this as it has nothing to do with the series anyway besides this kid being a fan of Godzilla.

Hold everything! I previously stated that "Son of Godzilla" had brought the Godzilla series from the horrifying "Gojira" of 1954 to full-fledged kiddie fair. I was wrong. While "SOG" comes close, I have just discovered that "All Monsters Attack" (or "Godzilla's Revenge") truly brings the big lizard's movies into the realm of children.

I don't see how an adult can really enjoy this movie. The story centers around a little boy named Ichiro who is being bullied and uses his imagination to transport himself to Monster Island. His make-believe escapes team him with Minilla, who is fighting off his own bully in the form of Gabara. Turns out, little Ichiro learns to be brave from Minilla and in the end stands up to his own bully. Oh...and in the meantime also manages to capture a couple of bank robbers "Home Alone"-style.

Ah yes, the monsters. Practically all of the footage in this movie is recycled from "Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster" and "Son of Godzilla". There can't be more than a few seconds of new footage made exclusively for this movie and that is why I rate it so low. Since there's no doubt it's a kid's movie, I think it would entertain the very young but I found it hard to stay awake for.
