Well actually this is not that bad. This is just an easy movie. You just sit relax and watch. Emma Stoneand Rachel McAdams makes it much more enjoyable.. And Bill Murray is such a legend. Although Bradley Cooper was overshadowed even by John Krasinski! But to sum up it was cool easy-going movie!

Aloha is a smart and entertaining comedic drama from writer/director Cameron Crowe. Starring Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, and Bill Murray, the film follows a military contractor who comes back home to Hawaii to help secure the cooperation of a native Hawaiian tribe in allowing the construction of a new aerospace launch site; but returning home forces him to face some unresolved issues from his past. The performances are pretty good; particularly Stone, who brings a lot of charisma to the film. The writing however, is rather weak; as the plot is underdeveloped and a bit contrived. Yet, Crowe’s able to give an emotional resonance to the film that makes it quite touching at times. It has some problems, but overall Aloha is a lighthearted and uplifting film.

Obviously a disastrous production. Still enjoyed it, mainly because of the amazing cast.

I like Cooper,Stone and McAdams but this movie is BAD. I remember thinking to myself while watching it "How the hell did this script passed through all the scrutiny and became a movie?!" The plot is copy-pasted form every other romantic comedy in existence. You can see everything that is about to happen a mile a way. Not all of it is copy pasted, but I wish it was because when 'Aloha' got to it's original bits it was BORING , extremely BORING. I'm truly surprised about how bad it is, there are TV Show episodes with better plots then this.

It turns out to be mostly a feel-good movie in the end but you get the sense that a lot was dropped on the cutting room floor. Some characters and plotlines end up being dead ends as their importance seems to simply give way to the dramedy plotline.

I know that it probably wasn't planned beforehand and was likely thrown in to address the controversy but I even liked people jokingly asking if Emma Stone's character told them about her being some part Hawaiian, but in the sense that some people are so worried about what percentage X, Y or Z they are and that doesn't interest _most_ other people in the slightest.

I expected this very over the top romantic Hawaiian thing. But it wasn't that bad, it was actually quite nice.

Just a bit weird to be honest.

Great actors which are interesting to watch but the characters are hard to like.

Beautiful location.

Two questions can be asked upon viewing this film, what happened? And where did this go wrong? Being a Cameron Crowe project you would think this would be nothing short of a classic. A star-studded cast, set in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii you would think would be a formula for success.

It's whole feel is that of a glorified made for TV movie, with it's cheesy writing and flawed overall grasp on reality are just a few elements that make this movie a waste of time. Regardless of the criticism about the cast being "white-washed", due in major part to Emma Stone being cast as an Asian character, still is no excuse for this heavily flawed movie. If you aren't planning on watching something deep, real or all that satisfying on any level, this could be it.

Although it is not the worst movie to have ever been made, it definitely is not close to being considered a masterpiece.

At heart, it's just a romantic comedy, slightly above average in this stagnant genre.
