Aerial firefighter Pete risks himself and his vintage World War II airplane in a constant and death-defying quest to fight forest wildfires, much to the dismay of his girlfriend, Dorinda . His love for Dorinda and the advice of fellow pilot Al convince Pete to give up his perilous career, but he flies one last mission. Pete heroically saves Al's plane from certain destruction, but with supernatural consequences.

Real good movie to watch! If you haven't seen this film, it's a must to see. Great acting and story. Richard Dreyfus and Holly Hunter are great in this film.

OK, so this is one of "those" Spielberg films. I guess it would have been an alright flick to fall asleep to on basic cable circa 1998.

It's incredibly sappy and hamfisted, but it's entertaining enough with a great cast. And some of the love scenes are genuinely moving.

This is a weird movie. The fire fighter dance? Drinking Twinkies with a straw? Some the effects look decent but its just a boring story that not even John Goodman can save.

A genuinely delightful romance movie with a difference that will seesaw you between tears of laughter and tears of sadness. Spielberg knows how to make movies, it has to be said, and this one pushes all the right buttons.
