One of the best horror movies ever made but if anyone refers to it as a comedy horror ill be forced to hurt you very badly!! And the transformation scene is hands down the best scene in any horror movie couldn't be bettered if with today's SFX "i didn't mean to call you meatloaf, jack"

This is a classic for a reason...the effects are incredible and it is one of the few horror/comedies that isn't overcome by one or the other. You get some good chuckles and some decent scares in there. It will be a different pace than today's films, but it well worth the time invested.

Arguably the best werewolf movie, not that there's all that many but out of the ones out there this is at the top. Still holds up. If you haven't seen it yet, what are you waiting for?

"Beware the moon, lads."

Still frightening and funny 38 years later.

The transformation scene was absolutely incredible, but also really painful. You literally hear every bone crack in his body, and all his organs reshaping and shifting. No other werewolf movie has topped that scene and never will. The song Bad Moon Rising is the icing on the cake.

Rick Baker make-up work is masterful. He's the real beast here.

The effects are really impressive and hold up well today. The story is pretty basic but it is fun and there are some funny moments. The music is so unexpected that I kinda loved it.

La película ha envejecido bastante mal. La recordaba mejor cuando la ví en mi adolescencia. En mi opinión se salva la famosa escena de la transformación en hombre lobo, el resto de la película, a día de hoy ha perdido mucho. ¡Maldita nostalgia! :)

This movie's pretty shitty, giving it a 5 but just because of the famed balloon thief part. Cried laughing.

This holds up surprisingly well considering its age and low budget. A little slow, with some random casual nudity I feel was thrown in to get a higher rating, but the characters are engrossing, the special effects makeup is fantastic, and the transformation sequence is iconic. Overall a classic for a reason, and it should be watched by any fan of horror or warewolf movies.

The pace, the lack of score in most scenes, the tone shifts and the sudden ending will put off modern audiences but I loved it. And I didn't grow up watching it.

This might be the best werewolf film out there. The effects for its time are top notch and features one of the most memorable transformations on screen. Id give it a perfect score if the plot was just a bit tighter.

This was a pretty good movie, especially if you like 80’s monster movies, and 80’s style special effects.

A quirky, strange horror classic. This along with "The Howling" feature two of the most incredible man to wolf transformations ever filmed.

John Landis more than sprinkles this with humor and there is silliness here. In fact, lead David Naughton practically smirks his way through some scenes. But this is really scary too, and not just considering David's monster predicament, but in his isolation within a country that isn't his own. Shocking imagery, cool effects and a great story. What else do you need?
