A couple from Burgos, Alfredo and Teresa, travel to New York where they intend to “switch off” and do all of the things listed in the guidebook. But the moment they land, they start to notice signs, some subtle and others rather less so, that in fact they’re not in the city sold to them by the travel agency. So where are they?

[Filmin] Characters from a "película mal hecha" that move through a New York that looks like Burgos. The director manages, in this strangeness caused by weird moments, talking about relationships, globalization of tourist postcards, the loneliness of a marriage in crisis and the threat of dreams that turn into nightmares. An escape that seeks emotional stability but only finds the reflection of an imperfect life.
