I think this is a well made film with great acting from the leads. As a tale of female friendship, it was okay. However, the characters irritated me a little - they are the kind of people that I avoid in social situations - so my interest in the film waned at times. Some people will love it more than me, and that's fine. I just didn't relate to these people very well.

‘Animals’ would have been better served had it had the guts to go as dark as the source material, instead of teetering on the edge. Gritty but not too gritty, the film fails to decide which relationship is its focus, yet it still manages to engage you enough not to truely care while voyeuristica More
