Like a caustic mugger, this film insults your intelligence while it takes your money.

[spoiler] _Annabelle Comes Home_ must be a children's horror film because not only are there no deaths, none of the characters gets so much as a stubbed toe! Seriously, how is that horror!? [/spoiler]

To make matters worse, the plot had potential. Imagine if all of the evil locked away in the Warren's secret room were released. Could be scary, right? Not on director Gary Dauberman's watch. The entire catalogue of terrors kept in their home museum is reduced to nothing more than poorly executed jump scares in which growing suspense comes across as increasing boredom.

And not only is they story shite, the filmmaking isn't any better! Here, for example, are the WTFs I noticed without even trying: [spoiler]
- A babysitter never spends time with her charge and
- Leaves her friend alone to wander unsupervised about her employer's house of horrors
- Keys disappear and reappear and not in a ghostly way but a shite editing way
- Cakes that vary in number while cooking and are ruined and then normal
- Messes that are made and clean themselves up (in the literal sense and not in the script, unfortunately) [/spoiler]
And those are just the things I noticed in passing. Imagine if I cared enough about the film to pay attention!?
