I haven't had such fun since Guardians of the Galaxy! Providing non-stop wit, gorgeous cinematography, and an absolutely stellar cast, Ant-Man is another victory for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"...since Guardians of the Galaxy..." - which came out eleven months ago. Not really a high bar, to be fair.

There was exactly one film between those two. lol For my GotG set the bar way, way, way low. Only Marvel flick I hated.

It is explained that Ant-Man shrinks by reducing the distance between his atoms. So he still consists of the same atoms after shrinking, which means he still should have the same mass, but then somehow ants can still carry him. He later shrinks to subatomic size. How on earth can you become smaller than atoms if you are made of atoms? He then hears his daughter talking while still on the subatomic level, what particles propagate the sound waves to his ears? Quite poor attention to detail in some of the physical areas :(

On the other hand, the characters besides the villain (step up yo game, Marvel...) were pretty great. And it overall it was a pretty fun movie.

BTW, the scene which reused the new S.H.I.E.L.D. base scenery from Avengers 2 in combination with only one single actor besides the Ant-Man seemed hilariously cheap.

After Guardians of the Galaxy and Age of Ultron, Ant-Man had some tough competition. Although I don't think it was as great as those two, I still rated it a solid 8. (I really wish they would've just done a Hank Pym origin story...)

Through this masterpiece, on par with, in my humble opinion, all other Marvel movies currently out in the Avengers Saga, obviously including the side series, Marvel has completely blown me away.

Character development, solid plot, fantastic humour and amazing cast all done flawlessly and did not leave me hoping for more, but rather asking 'When's the sequel coming out?'

With Michael Douglas and Michael Peña, having seen them both in previous movies where their performances are exemplary to say the least, I expect such mastery, but with Paul Rudd, and all the other actors, given this is the first movie in which I ever saw them, I had no idea what to expect. Complete success!
