@chatterdude Please put that last sentence in spoiler bracket. Now I have to wait a few months and hopefully forget this movie
is building towards a twist
.

Incredibly boring and drawn out. Poorly acted and a weak script. Takes far too much influence from I Am Mother and Ex Machina without exploring its own story. Everyone talking about the twist at the end making it an amazing movie, well I don't believe you should have to sleep through 90 minutes of tedious dialogue just for one interesting plot point.
Give this one a miss.

Ugh,the twist at the ending kind of made the rest of the movie pointless for me, I mean I want to feel sorry for J1 and J2 but now that I know they never really existed, I can't. The ending made the entire movie feel like it never even mattered whether or not George succeeded nor did the way he treated J2 have any consequence
@mokins I agree. It was like an "it was all a dreeeeeeam" kind of ending..... I feel juped. I was so invested in the movie, only to find out he had to suffer all of that for nothing after he died.
@mokins @emilysmiles I fully agree with both of you. I never like such endings (dreams, time travel, simulations, etc.) for the same reasons.

A love child of _Ex-Machina_ and _Upgrade_. Visually stunning. Great score. Written and directed well enough.

I didn't think that a decent Sci-Fi flick could be made in 2020. Guess I was wrong. I am looking forward to whatever Gavin Rothery has to offer next.

It kept me engaged and despite my best predictions I definitely didn't see the end coming.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Wow! It’s rare for a film to render me completely speechless, but this one did just that.

“Archive” is a visually stunning and emotionally moving film. The set design is immersive and transports the viewer into the world of the story. Theo James delivers his best performance yet. The film does an excellent job of telling its story through visuals rather than relying on heavy dialogue, which adds to its impact.

The little interactions with the robots were exceptional; I’ve never seen anything close to it on the main screen. The robot’s ability to convey such depth of emotion despite its lack of human facial characteristics is remarkable. Very few films do it so convincingly, so props to the director and the VFX crew.

My major criticism is the film’s runtime. At times, the story feels drawn out, and a tighter, shorter runtime would have improved the overall pacing. Unfortunately, most people have missed the deeper layers in this film, as at least the ratings portray. Nevertheless, “Archive” is a must-see for fans of science fiction.

I have seen much more worse AI films with boring long talks and stares but this is not one of them.Actually it is a watchable nice AI movie.
Some people mention the twist but it was too obvious. I was expecting any minute.
anyway, nice movie

Ignore those on this page who call this movie slow and boring. While it's not an action-packed sci-fi flick, it is certainly never dull. It's actually quite moving - there are moments that are achingly sad - so if you're after something thoughtful and a little surprising, this is one to put in your archive!

Ever notice that future travel has less safety precautions than we do in the present?
Where were the airbags? Where were the seat belts?
Just sayin'.

Do yourself a favour and just watch this. Avoid all comment sections, and come back later.

Dripping with a cyberpunky, Sci-fi, synthy aesthetic, Archive is a great mystery thriller with style and substance. Definitely one on my rewatch list for any hidden meaning or detail I missed on my first go.

Sloppily written. Entirely predictable from the first 10 minutes,
even the twist at the end, especially if you've watched _Stay_ , _Moon_ , _Vanilla Sky_ , _Infinity Chamber_ or the anime series _Time of Eve_ and _Ghost in The Shell: SAC_ .
It would've worked better, thematically, if
all the prototypes had killed themselves (J1 in the rain seemingly as an accident, J2 as she did, and J3 with the gun at the end) so that this limbo could be a learning experience (of letting go) for George before finally receiving his last call.
In terms of visuals, it leans too heavily on _Ex Machina_ , _I Am Mother_ , _Ghost in The Shell_ and panders to the cliched cyberpunk aesthetic (Japan, neon lights, Lotus Esprit etc.). No originality in the creative vision.

[Sitges FF] The consciousness of the robot. The unconsciousness of the human being. An isolated space that provokes dreams of encounters between life and death. Android jealousy. A story that connects with others in the analytical view of the relationship between Human Being and AI. An intelligent staging, which is revealed in its precision when the end comes. Here it is the electric sheep that dream of androids.
