Another Zack Snyder film where I was bored all the way through, mostly due to bad acting, terrible dialogue and unengaging/generic storytelling.
I’d be more forgiving if the characters were at least good, or if the film knew what it is.
But alas, Zack Snyder doesn’t have those instincts, not as a writer, nor as a filmmaker.
Just take the runtime as the perfect example: there’s no reason for this to be 2,5 hours long.
You’re making a dumb zombie slasher film, not Macbeth.
Just keep it short, concise, and entertaining.
A movie as creatively bankrupt as this should not pass the 2 hour mark.

If you want to watch an interesting heist flick, just watch the first season of Money Heist/La casa de papel (which is a series, but still more entertaining than this film).
If you want to watch an interesting zombie slasher film, just watch Train to Busan, or 28 Days Later.
Or rewatch the first one, which was made during a time before Zack Snyder’s ego as a filmmaker got the better of him.
