@lee-brown-barrow Some stories are told over and over again because so many lives were touched by the circumstances taking place in these stories. World War II, the Holocaust, etc. These stories have been told a lot, but this one is unique when you consider that we are seeing what happened to many people because of Stalin and The Iron Curtain. We don't often see this part, or hear about the war from this perspective. We hear about the Jews, the ghettos and pogroms, Nazi doctors and Jews being guinea pigs for barbaric experiments. We hear about the deportations of millions of people to camps, the gassing of innocent people, etc. We don't hear very much about Roma or Sinto people in the Holocaust, the Sonderkommando, or Eugenics. Not in the more mainstream popular movies about The Holocaust anyway. <br /> These stories are told repeatedly so they we dont forget. Just like we see many movies about slavery in America, The Civil Rights Movement etc. This touched so many lives and does to this day.<br /> Also, we don't want to forget that this is based on a book telling a real person's story.
