I loved the poetic images and sounds despicting the daily life of the people living in Senegal, Dakar, the omnipresence of the sea, the magnificence of the buildings in the dust and incomplete constructions. Slsothat there was not needed almost dialog to makes us infere the story.

While sometimes the story gets watered down in the ocean that is _Atlantique_, there is enough solid ground in this mystical ghost romance to buoy the talented cast and land them in a successful film.
