A dollmaker that found a way to shrink people to turn them into living dolls. The effects are obviously simple but quite good for the time.

However, despite the title, the puppet people do not attack anybody, they just try to escape and save themselves.

The story is nice, simple but efficient. We mostly follow life at the office, it takes a while to actually see any puppet people. Bonus points for the explanation and demonstration.

Despite how many people seem to have disappeared, we only see a group of 6 puppets. A bit disappointing, I was expecting dozens. The main scene is their escape tentative, which is good.

Afterwards the end part is less good, when they wander outside it seems the scale is a bit random and that waste a bit the effect.
We see Bob and Sally, but what about the others ? [spoiler]If they walked to the office, it would have taken them hours. What happened to the others in this time ? Did Franz kill them ? He didn't bring them back.[/spoiler] Nobody seems to care.

I like Franz's motive. It's not revenge, or perversion or even a need to manipulate people, he just really wants to [spoiler]keep people he likes, and have some fun with them. He probably really thinks they are friend. A bit childlike.[/spoiler] This is a change from criminal masterminds.
