This movie is so good, it can't be described, you just have to watch it. The drawings are a joy to watch, the soundtrack is penetrating. I was completely sucked into this, and it wasn't until the end of the movie that I discovered that I've been crying. This has got to be one of the toughest films on an emotional level. This movie held me and wouldn't let go.

[IDFA '22] An amazing story turned into an animated documentary that mixes archival interviews with Aurora Mardiganian and clips from the film "Auction of souls" (1919). These three mixed narratives give uniqueness to an emotionally powerful film, and they feed into each other to reconstruct the genocide against the Armenian people of 1914, which the United States has been one of the last countries to recognize in 2021.
