A heart-rending real life episode which leaves you in catharsis Ayothi is a heartfelt, moving real life incident which serves as tear-jerking cinema. Writer Director Manthira Moorthy uses conventional tropes of melodrama to evoke emotions which could have been more organic and natural, apart from this its the earnest performances, a fulfilling story and elevation of right moments with a stimulating score by Raghunanthan make Ayothi a truly powerful film. Yashpal Sharma suits his character admirably, Sasikumar except his dumb introduction is primarily understated in his role. Preethu Asrani's performance is truly promising as the naive girl in shock.
