Sylvester Stallone and Matthew Modine lead the cast (sort of) in the crime thriller Backtrace. When a bank heist goes bad the last surviving robber ends up with amnesia after a shootout, and seven years later he’s broken out of prison by a new crew with an experimental treatment that they think can help him remember where he hid the bank money. It’s not that bad a story, but it’s stretched a little thin and has some pretty predictable twists. Still, there are some good action scenes and a few intense moments. Entertaining but forgettable, Backtrace is a mediocre action film.

Matthew Modine is the highlight of this film as he is a man who has no memory of being part of a robbery gone wrong and seven years later is forced to remember where he hid the money. Ryan Guzman leads a trio that will help him remember. Sylvester Stallone plays the lead detective and Christopher McDonald - an FBI agent that are put in charge of finding this man when the trio breaks Modine's character out of prison. Again, Modine is the highlight of this movie. Guzman and McDonald are alright to watch . Stallone makes me feel like I'm watching a pilot to a new TV series. So this 90 minute so-so action adventure is a so-so flick.

:heart:x5 Sadly, this is not a very good movie. It's watchable, but not very good. How I rate: 1-3 :heart: = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 :heart: = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 :heart: = I expect you will like this too 9-10 :heart: = movies and TV shows I really love!
