Batman feels essential in the history of cinema. The film is iconic. It will forever stand as one of the best comedies of all time.

I had never watched this movie until now, and honestly, I'm struggling to decide how to go about rating it. On one hand, it's definitely not a good movie, and being 105 minutes long, it gets tiresome and tedious towards the end due to it not being so great. But on the other hand, it's certainly quite amusing. The movie is filled with nonsense, and I love that. It's very campy and doesn't take itself very seriously, which makes certain parts of the movie quite enjoyable to watch. But again, it's 105 minutes long. This would have been way more enjoyable if it were shorter. I found that by the end of the movie, most of the charm and amusement had worn off, and so I think that if this movie was shortened down by 20-30 minutes, it would be way easier and more enjoyable to get through.

Regardless, if you're a Batman fan, it's definitely worth watching, just so that you can say you've seen it all.

"Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!"

This was joy to watch that I don't care how campy it is. I wouldn't call it "It's so bad, it's good" type of movie, but more of a 60's comic strip come to live. That's why it makes sense to me with all the corny one liners & scenes, because of the time it came out.

Adam West is my Batman.

It’s hokey, it’s cheesy, it’s campy....it’s Batman. The film follows the Dynamic Duo as they take on their four greatest villains, Joker, Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman, who have come together in an attempt to take over the world. Adam West, Burt Ward, Lee Meriwether, Cesar Romero, and Burgess Meredith make up this iconic cast that would define Batman for a generation. All the sets and costumes are absurdly awful and ridiculous. And the dialog is atrocious, even for camp. At times the film gets so bad that it becomes fun to watch, but most of it is cringe worthy. Batman tests the limits of endurance for camp and cartoonishness, and is an embarrassment to the series that can never be lived down.

A classic of superhero movie with a certain dose of humor, comic surrealism and typical oneliners. Today, however, it is a movie for connoisseurs.

My mom always tells me how disappointed her and my grandmother were watching the pilot for the 60’s Batman show. I can see being disappointed if you expected something serious.
Watching reruns in the 80’s as a kid was great fun though. This movie isn’t as good as the show and all it’s cliffhangers.
It is however still a campy good time with a great cast.
