I actually enjoyed it more than I expected. The story is fairly poorly told and the characters are not overly interesting, but they aren't completely uninteresting either. Having Sheridan basically reprise his role as Doofy was a little annoying. McCallany was good as always, though a little too much overacting. Henao wasn't too bad, though not one of her better roles. She was good eye candy, though. The biggest problem with the characters is they all kinda ran together. There just wasn't enough to distinguish them or make me care about any of them.

The Moby Dick aspects were a nice touch, but we didn't really get much of a back story on the father. The space dragons were a bit silly, but also kinda fun. The space bugs were also a little on the dumb side as they can survive in a vacuum as well as an atmosphere. Doesn't seem like evolution would work like that, but it was kinda interesting, especially since they apparently like to make people crazy.

Reminds me of the weekend afternoon B-movie that use to be a thing in the 80s and 90s. Enjoyable, but basically rubbish.
