I have watched Kathi and it remains such a masterpiece so when the Hindi remake was in works I was a bit apprehensive. The trailer came out blazing and I got a bit of confidence to watch it but this movie turned out to be such disappointment.All they had to do was simply recreate the original as it is and this movie would have been such an amazing visual experience. What went wrong was when they wanted to make the character of “Bholaa” so “heroic” that even cheetah would run back to jungle :smirk: and to put so much graphics that it ended less emotional and story based and more graphics

The opening scene with Tabu was so amazing but everything from there was so much theatrics that it completely took away the essence of the movie. The original had such a rawness to it and naturality that they made the events so believable and immersive. On the other hand, Bholaa had so much extraaa- A Chris angel wannabe, the oiled body builder chaddi gangs, a scaredy cat- cheetah, tron legacy wannabe biker gangs and some poor VFX intern who pushed too much Gamer graphics and actions, the shiva references in every angle and in every frame, a very poor and inappropriate background music, all ended up making the movie such a half cooked dish.

Also what’s with the VFX skeleton hands? At least that could have been with a real prop …
Anyhow I would like to advise Kathi fans to keep the original in hearts and don’t risk watching this and for those who haven’t watched the original one i am not sure how much you will actually able to grasp and enjoy ignoring all the VFX debacles
