@andriusgabriel I AM NOT CRYING. YOU ARE CRYING. ;_; ;_; <br /> wow. I really had to cry. Very emotional at the end. And this mix was so heartwarming. Now I know why people like this film. It’s special.

A story that shows what storytelling is all about and why it's so important. I think it's expertly done: when they compare the 'fantastic story' to the 'factual story', you can't help but feel sorry for the guy who prefers the factual version and misses out on all the fantastical stuff. And besides that, it's just great fun to watch!

I cried like a baby, the only movie that made me cry this much was Brokeback Mountain. What dark magic does this movie has?!

A heartfelt tribute to storytelling and imagination. Prolix, sentimental and terribly over the place, which kind of proves a point as that's exactly how I would describe the main character. I wouldn't change anything except the ending: the scene at the river is so powerful that anything that came afterward felt a little unnecessary. Hands down one of Burton's most mature works to date: you can clearly tell he is behind the camera, but at the same time, things don't get as bloated and self-referential as in his later works.

Big Fish is a wondrous and fantastical film from Tim Burton. The story follows a son who seeks to separate truth from fiction in his father’s tall tales. Featuring Ewan McGregor, Helena Bonham Carter, Jessica Lange, Steve Buscemi, and Danny DeVito, the cast is quite impressive and delivers some strong performance. And, Burton does an extraordinary job at creating a fairytale like aesthetic that enhances the tone of the film. Entertaining and compelling, Big Fish is a charming and sincere tale that has a certain magic of its own.

Once upon a time I watched this somewhat magical movie that's based around a series of tall tales told by a father to his son. Whilst the tales themselves I found to be a tad tedious to watch it's worth the investment as they build up to a fantastic ending and the ultimate morale of the story. The end.

Meh. There's a story there and it's kind of entertaining, but it's no classic.
Watching it in 2021, I know now why I gave it a miss back in 2004 - even though it's a Tim Burton movie.
there's nothing bad or wrong about the movie, but there's nothing to get excited about either.
5/10
