I went in with high hopes for this thinking it might be something like a bunch of oldies taking on demons in a bingo hall. No. It’s plot is so bad it barely makes sense. Someone will come out with some tosh that it is a reflection of the disintegration of established communities by hipster companies. Nope, it’s a really REALLY bad plot with terrible script, unfunny “jokes” and dull 2D characters. It so could so have been a fresh twist on a film like “From Dusk Till Dawn”. What a missed opportunity and what a waste of my time. Rating Boring as Hell.

The rating I’m going to give for Bingo Hell is for a “B” movie rating. I’d give it a solid 8. The performances are good and the movie has a good gimmick and made me laugh my ass off.

If you love B horror movies your miles may vary, but I really enjoyed it.

I had hopes knowing this is directed by Gigi Saúl Guerrero. I haven't seen her Into the Dark episode, which is also produced by Blumhouse Television, but I loved her short, El Gigante. This film though, I was expecting some decent campy horror and it's pretty clear that this film is going for that campy direction but it's not working for me. It feels like watching a horror film for kids with jokes that my mum and dad would find it funny.

It just didn't do anything for me.

Not too dissimilar to a game of Bingo. High hopes of a winning movie at the beginning and then disappointment when you realise it’s all been a waste of your time. Could have been so much more…review score 4!

Watching this felt like a fever dream. The way it's shot, the editing, the pacing, the conflicting tones, the extensive ADR... it's all so out of whack. But... I think I like it? It's different. The horror elements are creative, the effects and audio are done well, with some cool technical moments and lighting. The ending is especially dumb but fun.

The main problem I have is with the chaotic editing and pacing, really, as it slows down and speeds up in the wrong areas way too often. I wanted to spend more time in the bingo hall and with the grumpy old people fighting a losing battle against their rapidly changing town, less time with these sentimental moments with the kid and the main old lady's vague history with her friend.

Worth watching with friends while binging on snacks and drinks.

This movie was just fun. I love when horror doesn't take itself seriously and becomes sheer entertainment. The characters were a blast and the ending was the cherry on the top. Seriously, don't overthink this movie. Just enjoy it for what it is.
