Brutally poetic animated Spanish film. At times, some of the symbolism escaped me, but overall the film moved me to the point I felt transported.

A haunting film about a post-apocalyptic island shattered by a cataclysmic event with those left trying to pick-up the pieces. The film will leave you depressed and hopeful at the same time. I recommend you watch the original 13 minute pilot, Birdboy (2011), for a bit more background on the event and characters. Not necessary to enjoy the main film but helpful to get a better picture.
