Pros: Respectfully acknowledges and nods to the main character being a trans girl. She is loved, protected, and seen as a girl fully and her being transgender is never used against her.

Cons: Quite literally everything else. Dialogue is all over the place mostly sounding somewhat both melodramatic and sterilized at the same time, save for the main vampire girl Duke whose lines really make it sound like this story was written with her in mind as the protagonist instead of Laurel. The transitions leave so.damn.much. to be desired, forcefully taking you out of one scene into the next. The pacing of the movie fully depended on the soundtrack with one song playing in full right after the other, which gave like a constant music video energy instead of the flow of an actual movie. The men that played the side characters were also barely fleshed out and Andy especially had the shit end of the stick. This movie bit *ahem* more than it could chew and was ultimately unable to juggle several complex topics nor sustain any real conversations that surrounded the issues with men and their privilege. This movie tried to balance being somber with camp and it DID NOT work.

Honorable mention: that Rasputin montage scene. that song was a fucking crazy choice but it was appreciated and that scene in general was well done.
