My first thought was that the dialogue style was corny and full on from the start. It tries to be a seductive and tender movie. This mostly means combining the cheesy dialogue with very slow camera movements, cheesy music, attractive women and cliché set up scenes. Maybe the sexy women can grasp a baguette in phallic way. Yeah that's suggestive. Then we move in front of an open fire for some..... maybe later you can dance for me, as I sit in chair like an alpha male and sip wine. ... er rub milk on yout tits? Yeah why not.
Basically it's very very soft porn that tries to be a genuine movie. Then after all the cheesy dialogue it occasionally tries to be poetic. Tragic.
I couldn't relate to any of the movie. Apart from the baguette. I sometimes eat them.
The characters are one dimensional objects. The story is the tackiest crap I've seen in and while. It's almost so bad it's good. Plenty of quotable crap. It's got tl be seen to be believed, so in a way I recommend it.
