It's sad that humans haven't had the common sense to realize holding large, powerful animals in captivity is a BAD thing. I feel sorry for the animals, but also very sorry for the trainers who don't know how horrible Sea World is, only to be killed because Sea World doesn't care about them, only money. What a shame. I hope Sea World isn't able to recover from this film.

Gave a perspective that I wouldn't have never known from, really opened my eyes on what really is happening in Seaworld and other establishments.

It's amazing how well Sea World was able to spin the problem for so long.

If after watching Blackfish or The Cove you're happy to go to any Sea World et al, you're made of harder stuff than I am. How humans haven't evolved past their arrogant belief that they can kidnap and enslave other high intelligence socially complex sentient beings for human greed and amusement is beyond me. It is taking humans far too long to wake up to their own cruelty. Tilikum lived a life of misery. What SeaWorld did to him is inexcusable. I only hope his death brings more awareness to this vile industry. If Tilikum was with his family, Dawn would be with hers.

The dark side of Free Willy. Lately (mid-2023), there have been Orca attacks on boats in the Med. My theory is this: The Orcas are highly intelligent and have a fantastic communication system. The few who eventually were freed from SeaWorld got the word out to all the other Orcas in the world: "Huma More

Without a doubt Blackfish is one of the most horrific theatre experiences you'll have this year. Director Gabriela Cowperthwaite presents a very carefully constructed case on the effects of inhumane treatment of Orcas in captivity. The one-sided argument is that the untimely human deaths caused More

Blackfish takes hold of you within a few minutes and never let go until the end. And at this aforementioned end, you'll have a lot of feelings. You'll feel sorry for the animals. You'll feel sorry for the families and friends of the victims. You'll feel sorry for the ex-trainers that More

This is a documentary about how humans keep orcas (killer whales) as pets to entertain at places such as SeaWorld. It is centered around one vicious attack by a killer whale named Tilikum, but actually takes us around the world as well as into the past. This is not the first attack on trainers, and More
