Guillermo del Toro adds some spice and flare to the vampires and the CGI looks almost cartoonish but somehow it works. The practical effects are great as usual, just wish the story was as good as the first movie.

This is literally the same plot except more cg and instead he's working _with_ the vampires.

Absolute steaming hot pile of cycling action. I felt no need to connect to the characters as the development felt so weak and misdirected, other than that it was pretty.

An under-rated sequel with a creepy and cool villain named Nomak (Luke Goss) that is a new breed of vampire.
This is easily the best Blade movie due to Guillermo del Toro as the director. The action is better and in my opinion, the villain is better.

A decent follow-up to the original _Blade_ movie. The action/fight scenes in this one were quite good although the storyline felt pretty convoluted and confusing. I enjoyed pretty much everything about this one apart from the fact that, as mentioned, the story had **so many** twists and turns that it got a tad confusing at times. Stil fun to watch, though, especially (IMO) if you watch it back-to-back with the original _Blade_.

Stylish, good action, and I like the horror touches, but everything else is kinda shit.
The acting and dialogue are laughable, the plot’s dumb, cheesy schlock (and I don’t feel like it’s embraced to the extent that it should be), all the characters are boring, it’s too long and there’s zero depth or emotion.
Pretty sure this would be well received by critics nowadays, simply because good, practical action and strong visuals are enough to get people excited about the John Wick franchise, despite those movies having all the same issues as this.

Blade II is an exciting, action-packed thriller that exceeds its predecessor in every way. In this new chapter of the series Blade must team up with an elite group of vampires in order to hunt down a new mutated vampire bread, called “Reapers,” that threatens to exterminate both the vampire and human populations. Wesley Snipes and Kris Kristofferson return, and are joined by Ron Perlman and Leonor Varela. Director Guillermo del Toro brings a bold new vision to the series that makes it much more dramatic and powerful. Additionally, the special effects and fight choreograph has improved, making for a more kinetic and involving film. Blade II is an impressively strong sequel that elevates the series and provides a thrilling adventure.

More of the same from the first. The new vampires are cool. Ron Perlman and Norman Reedus are great additions to the cast. Wesley Snipes is very fun to watch. The story could of been better.

I prefer the first one but this one is fun because of the cast - Wesley, Ron Perlman, Norma Reedus, Donnie Yen, Danny John-Jules, and so on...

I really Snipes as Blade. Tripping out that Norman Reedus was in this movie, just realized that, haha

A funny and entertaining watch, but the special effects are still rather poor. The storyline isn't as original as the one from the first Blade movie and the 'Blade II' hasn't got that cool overall feeling of 'Blade I'!

Definitely the best movie in the trilogy. Guillermo Del Toro brings his own unique style to everything he directs and that style is what makes this so good. Would've loved to see Donnie Yen kick more ass though!
