Honestly Im a huge fan of the anime, and manga, just look at my damn avatar! I love Ichigo and was hoping they don't butcher this, cause I would be so disappointed. But for a live action movie adaptation they got a lot right, and don't expect it to pack all anime and manga all into 108 minutes, for a live action adaption of a fantastic anime series this was pretty good.

Honestly I enjoyed it, and I loved the character of Ichigo in the movie, and for what little time they had, they did some decent character development. You could only do so much, and I was hoping for more, lets just hope their is a BLEACH 2 so they can jump deep into the Bleachverse.

If you are a fan of Bleach you will enjoy this.

If Scarlett Johansson does not appear in a live action movie do not expect much production, however, Netflix revindicó with the genre, after the rain of denials received by Death Note. Bleach was entertained, kept the mood that characterizes it, Tite Kubo jealously watched the production to run the luck of you know who (Death Note). Acceptable if you are not a rigorous that expects to see the manga or the anime in 108 minutes.

as a live action i think it's good, but the anime is much more... u know what I'm saying for those who read or watched it.
hoping the sequels will do better, but I'm a bit curious how they will fit the anime it manga into a live action movies.

I enjoyed this live action more than Samurai X and Attack on Titans .. Superb fight scene with Renji so i'm excited more for a sequel imagine how awesome the fight scene will be when they are fighting with Arrancar or shinigami's in Soul Society .. Also great CGI for the Hollows only gripe was how the fight scene was executed i guess because Ichigo just started out as Shinigami ..

Also i don't find the actress playing as Rukia fit for the role but she's a great actress none the less .. Hoping for a sequel Warner Brother and stop with the ENGLISH SOUNDTRACKS japanese rock or music fits better with the mood of the movie ..

@kasmot I second that.... I criticized it through the whole movie, to see how it did the manga/anime justice - was overall good, except for exactly all the same points you made

1st time a live action adaption done something good i guess because Tite Kudo was involved himself for this production.
Hollow design as live action were solid so as fight scenes... plot also good cuz for a movie its enough..
i guess maybe part 2 will come too when Ichigo goes Soul Society for Rukia

I loved the changes, the fight scenes and the relationship between Ichigo and Rukia. All those trainings makes the story more realistic and the friendship between those two more compelling

I have not seen the anime, so don't know how it compares. But as a standalone movie it was ok, keep me entertained enough.

They should replace the Byakuya actor, he was trying hard to be fierce. Everytime he showed up, he was pulling the movie down.

If they will retain him, then the director should tell him to relax and to own the character. He does not need to copy the Byakuya in the anime adaptation. Own the character, be a unique Byakuya.

As for the Orihime character, they should've signed-up a Korean actress, they know how to act cute. That was Orihime's charm, being cute. The actress for Orihime was too serious but in fairness she did well in looking "innocent".

I enjoyed it for what it was and didn't expect to see every thing that was in the anime. It's good for the 108 minutes that they had, but if you want more I would be sticking to the anime for sure

Bleach is a swamp where you have to trudge through tons of sludge to get to a place that's not nearly as cool as it was in the photo.

What felt like endless amounts of exposition bog down this series of poorly edited and unoriginal fight scenes. I won't make a joke about Bleach in my eyes, but...
